Who is a candidate for the Non-surgical spinal decompression?
Almost anyone with back, neck, arm, and/or leg pain.

Is it safe?
Very safe and non-invasive.

How does the pool fit into the decompression program?
The pool is used to provide aquatic decompression to the lumbar spine and to recondition the trunk and lower extremities.

What is decompression?
Decompression is traction. With the VAX-D, we can focus the traction stress on the disc that is likely creating the symptoms.

What conditions are treated with Non-surgical spinal decompression?
Non-surgical spinal decompression can be used to relieve peripheral radiation/sciatica and pain associated with: protruding discs, bulging discs, herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome, acute facet problems, radicular pain, prolapsed discs, spinal root impingement, hypomobility, degenerative joint disease, facet syndrome, compression fractures, joint pain, and discogennic pain.

Are there any contraindications for Non-surgical spinal decompression?
A few: advanced osteoporosis, metostatic disease in the spine, a recent lumbar fusion.

Are treatments on the VAX-D covered by insurance?
Not normally, but the rest of the therapy is billable to insurance.
