One of the best studies on intradiscal
pressure was conducted by the Department of
Neurosurgery and Radiology at Rio Grande
Regional Hospital and Health Sciences Center,
University of Texas and published in the Journal
of Neurosurgery, Volume 81, September, 1994. The
lowest intradiscal pressures below -150 mm Hg
were measured via cannula inserted into the L-4
nucleus pulposus during decompression therapy.
This has been confirmed with fluoroscopy. Spinal
manipulation by physical therapy, traction,
chiropractic or osteopathic adjustments cannot
bypass the body's protective proprioceptor
lock-down response and therefore cannot create
these kind of negative vacuum pressures for even
as little as ten seconds, let alone twenty one
half hour treatments.
"There is a place for back surgery, but it is
definitely not at the front line. DRX Therapy
should be a frontline treatment for chronic back
pain patients suffering from bulging, herniated,
or degenerative disc disease and facet syndrome.
As a surgeon, I only want to do surgery when I
absolutely have to. The DRX 9000 gives my
patients a more conservative treatment option
that can eliminate the need for surgery
altogether, and that's a very good thing. The
DRX 9000 also gives me a treatment option for
those patients who have had Surgery and have a
relapse or experience a return of pain following
surgery. The DRX 9000 allows me to Offer
patients a key non-surgical weapon in the war on
back pain."
